Loreto on the Plains Personal Care Home
"Where Prayer Makes the Difference
Giving Hope Where there is No Hope"
" A Respect Life Roman Catholic Care Center for the sick and terminally ill where the sanctity of every human life is respected and protected"
Our Mission is to provide Catholic Healthcare at the end of life by creating an environment where Medical and Spiritual Care are united to bring God's hope and peace through ministering to the sick and terminally ill and their family in the light of the Gospel message.
"We Care" is the standard by which we reach out to our patients/residents and their families while they are being cared for at Loreto on the Plains.
"Where Prayer Makes the Difference" means that prayer for and with the patient / resident is part of the normal daily function of the life of Loreto and all are invited to participate. There is a private chapel in Loreto where all are invited to pray at any time. Becoming a member of the Intercessors of Divine Mercy is also available for those interested.
Loreto on the Plains is named after the "Holy House" of Loreto, the humble little cottage in Nazareth, in which the Angel appeared to Mary and told her that she was to be the mother of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Holy House was carried by the angels to Loreto, Italy. Because of the miracles, cures and blessings experienced by those who have made the pilgrimage to this little home where Jesus became incarnate in the womb of Mary many Popes have recognized its authenticity.
Loreto on the Plains Personal Care Home is located in Hartley, Texas on the Holy Family Ministry Center grounds in the midst of the Texas Panhandle in the High Plains. We invoke the name of Jesus for healing and restoration of the sick and terminally ill and their families who will come to this little quiet hidden away place for renewal and restoration.
It is an environment where the importance of family and friends, sharing of memories, tears and laughter are shared in a spiritual and natural environment where all can gather and journey with their loved one. The patient is offered excellent medical and physical care given in the spirit of love and concern.
We strive for excellent care in a family friendly environment where the resident is surrounded by the sights and sounds of our faith. We will serve all God's children who come to us, regardless of race, religion, sex, age or nationality.
